Italian Sausage and Provolone Filo Pastry Rolls

  • 4 Italian Sausages (cooked and thinly sliced)
  • 12 Sheets Frozen Filo Pastry (thawed)
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter (melted)
  • 12 Slices of Provolone Cheese
  • 1 Bunch Sage
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Italian Herbs
  • 2 Tbsp. Sea Salt Flakes
  • Step1 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Step2 Place one sheet of file pastry on a clean work surface and fold it in half, brush with a little butter.
  • Step3 On the short side place a slice of cheese, several slices of Italian sausage and a sage leaf, roll the pasty over the filling and continue to roll ensuring the sides are folded in.
  • Step4 Place on prepared baking tray, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian herbs and sea salt flakes.
  • Step5 Bake for 15-20minutes until golden brown.
