Italian Sausage and Provolone Filo Pastry Rolls
Ingredients
- 4 Italian Sausages (cooked and thinly sliced)
- 12 Sheets Frozen Filo Pastry (thawed)
- 4 Tbsp. Butter (melted)
- 12 Slices of Provolone Cheese
- 1 Bunch Sage
- 1 Tbsp. Dried Italian Herbs
- 2 Tbsp. Sea Salt Flakes
Method
- Step1 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Step2 Place one sheet of file pastry on a clean work surface and fold it in half, brush with a little butter.
- Step3 On the short side place a slice of cheese, several slices of Italian sausage and a sage leaf, roll the pasty over the filling and continue to roll ensuring the sides are folded in.
- Step4 Place on prepared baking tray, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian herbs and sea salt flakes.
- Step5 Bake for 15-20minutes until golden brown.
